Rockwool Reports Record Sales Over Kc1.4 Billion

Bohumin, North Moravia, Sept 11 (CTK) – Rockwool, a mineral wool insulation producer, made Kc1.455bn in sales last year, which was a record amount, and the company’s profit increased by Kc74.4m yr/yr to Kc130.3m, Lukas Klapil told CTK today on behalf of the Czech company that is part of Danish group Rockwool.

Over Kc1bn has been invested in modernisation of the Bohumin plant in the past five years thanks to which its production and storage capacities have been expanded.

The plant is a European centre for technical insulation within the entire group, Klapil said in a press release.

The company has about 250 employees.

Denmark’s Rockwool employs more than 11,000 people in 39 countries. In 2017, its sales were 7.1 percent higher at Kc61bn.

Rockwool entered the Czech market in 1995 and launched production here three years later.
