Prague, June 14 (CTK) – President Milos Zeman will receive Prime Minister Andrej Babis (ANO ) in the presidential summer house Lany at 14:00 on Sunday, CTK sources have said.
A week ago, Babis said if the Social Democrat (CSSD) referendum on the party’s entering a coalition government with ANO turned out positively, he would unveil a a complete government line-up to Zeman.
The results of the referendum are to be released on Friday.
Babis’s first government did not gain confidence in the Chamber of Deputies in mid-January. Since then, it has been ruling in a caretaker capacity.
Zeman appointed Babis as the prime minister for the second time last Wednesday.
Babis wants to ask the lower house for confidence in roughly a month. The vote may be held on July 11.
If the Social Democrats approve the coalition government, the party will fill five ministerial posts.
CSSD chairman Jan Hamacek would be the interior minister. The Labour and Social Affairs Ministry would be led by its former deputy head Petr Krcal, the Agriculture Ministry by Czech Federation of the Food and Drink Industries President Miroslav Toman and the Culture Ministry by Olomouc Mayor Antonin Stanek.
The fifth ministry to go to the CSSD is the Foreign Affairs Ministry, which the CSSD wants to be headed by MEP Miroslav Poche. Zeman, however, criticises Poche for having supported the acceptance of migrants by Prague.
