In August, 1,284 personal bankruptcies were declared in the Czech Republic, which was 239 more than in July. At the same time, 1,253 petitions for personal bankruptcy were filed, 146 more than in the previous month, according to statistics from CRIF – Czech Credit Bureau.
Although the number of personal bankruptcies and petitions for them increased month-on-month, it was still rather low in the context of the whole year, said CRIF analyst Věra Kameníčková. “The number of personal bankruptcies was similar to last year and at the same time significantly lower than before the pandemic.
