Blesk Is Czech Republic’s Most Read Newspaper

The most read newspaper in the first half of this year was Blesk with 686,000 readers for publication. Against this year’s first and last year’s last quarter, however, he lost 17,000 readers. It is followed by MF DNES with a decrease of 6,000 to 455,000 readers and Právo, whose readership, on the other hand, increased by 10,000 to 192,000 people. Other places were Sport and Aha !. This follows from the information of the Union of Publishers.

A total of 435,000 readers for the publication had a network of regional titles published by Vltava Labe Media under the collective name Deník. Compared to the previous period, this means an increase of 10,000 readers per issue. The most read titles were in Central Bohemia and Prague, which was read by an average of 78,000 people. The most read free newspaper was Metro with 341,000 readers, E15 was read by 71,000 people.

Among the supplements to the dailies is Blesk TV magazine with 866,000 readers and TV magazine with 781,000 readers in second place. DNES + TV Magazine finished in third place with 530,000 readers each week.

Of the advertising networks, the MAFRA media group with the readership of 3.26 million was the best. This was followed by the Czech News Center with 3.13 million readers and Vltava Labe Media with 2.53 million readers.

In the last two quarters, the total readership of all printed titles was more than 82 percent of the population aged 12 to 79, and the readership of dailies and their supplements reached 54 percent.
