Hyundai Nosovice will begin production of the new Hyundai i30 model on Monday.
“The Hyundai i30 has long been one of our most popular cars in Europe. This model for Europe is also of European origin in all respects, from design through development to final assembly,” Hyundai’s spokesman said.
The new Hyundai i30 is the latest generation of the car. “It is available as a hatchback, fastback, and station wagon. Since its launch in 2007, Hyundai has sold more than one million i30s in Europe,” Hyundai said. The i30 was the first car manufactured in Nosovice in November 2008. Since then, the model has undergone several upgrades.
The factory in Nošovice is the only Hyundai factory in the European Union. It produces up to 1,500 cars a day, last year it shipped 309,500 vehicles. In addition to the new i30 hatchback, fastback, and station wagon models, it also produces the i30 N, Kona Electric, and Tucson models. The factory has 3,300 employees, and another 8,700 people work for its direct suppliers.
