Manta Raises $13M In Series A Funding

Manta, a unified data lineage platform provider, raised $13 million in its Series A financing.

Bessemer Venture Partners led the round with participation from SAP.iO, Czech VC Fund Credo Ventures, and German VC Fund Senovo.

Manta was created as an internal tool at the Czech consulting company Profinit in 2008 and became an independent company in 2016. The company is headquartered in New York with a development center in Prague

“Manual approach to repetitive tasks has always been one of the key pain points of data management. Organizations in every corner of the world are struggling with this problem and so did I before MANTA came to life,” said Tomas Kratky, Founder and CEO of MANTA.

Manta specializes in data lineage automation, enabling the automation of data flow mapping in corporate IT systems, thus eliminating inefficiencies while maintaining GDPR-type requirements. Supported technologies include Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, PostgreSQL, Informatica, and Netezza.
