Prague, Feb 6 (CTK) – Prime Minister Andrej Babis’s ANO would win the election to the Czech Chamber of Deputies with roughly the same gain as in the October election, which is around 30 percent, according to the latest poll conducted by the CVVM agency in January and released today.
The next places would go to the Social Democrats (CSSD) and Pirates with 12.5 percent each, followed by the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) with 12 percent.
It is a large gain for the CSSD, which was routed in October with a mere 7.3 percent.
The Communist would now get some 8 percent of the vote, while they were elected by 7.8 percent.
The rest of the parties would score some losses. The anti-European and anti-Islam Freedom and Direct Democracy (SPD) would go down from 10.6 percent to 7.5 percent, while Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL) would only receive 5 percent.
The 5 percent threshold would not be crossed by the Mayors and Independents (STAN) and TOP 09, with only 3 percent and 4 percent, respectively.
The poll was conducted on a sample of 1,086 Czechs over 15 between January 15 and 24.
