Prague, Dec 10 (CTK) – The following is a selection of main economic events to take place in the Czech Republic in 2018:
JANUARY
1 – Minimum wage will be raised by Kc1,200 to Kc12,200 a month.
– Amendment to law on employment takes effect. State contribution to employers for wages of handicapped workers will rise from the current Kc9,500 to Kc12,000 a month.
– Amendment to law on budget rules, changing rules for providing subsidies, takes effect.
– Amendment to law on tax distribution takes effect, raising share of municipalities in value-added tax revenues.
– Amendment to law on zoning and planning and construction regulations (law on construction) takes effect, unifying zoning and planning proceedings, construction proceedings and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes.
2 – Finance Ministry makes public state budget data as of end-Dec.
3 – Car Importers Association (SDA) announces winner of Car of the Year 2018 competition.
8 – Czech National Bank (CNB) makes public info on its forex reserves as of Dec 31, forex deals as of Nov 30, 2017.
9 – Employment Office releases unemployment data for Dec.
10 – Czech Statistical Office (CSU) releases consumer price indices – inflation for Dec 2017, quarterly sector accounts, that is GDP development including structure, for Q3 2017.
13 – Law on payment relations takes effect, raising safety of Internet payments and improving rights of users of payment services.
18 – Tourist fair GO and fair of tourist opportunities in regions Regiontour open, to last until Jan 21.
25 – Petrochemical group Unipetrol makes public business results for 2017.
30 – CSU makes public agriculture data for Q4 and year 2017.
31 – CNB releases monetary development statistics as of Dec 31, 2017.
