Skoda Fabia To Launch On September 16

The new generation of the Škoda Fabia model will officially go on sale on 16 September. The carmaker already registers over 2,000 pre-orders. The new Fabia will have its world exhibition premiere at the Cars on Náplavka exhibition, on Thursday 26 August at 5 pm in Prague, Škoda Auto informed today in a press release.

The new Fabia will enter official sales on the Czech market on September 16 at recommended retail prices from CZK 329,900. The fourth generation of the Fabia model uses the MQB-A0 platform, thanks to which it has grown significantly compared to its predecessor. It will be powered by new generation Evo engines.

For example, the competing Hyundai i20 starts in the Czech Republic at CZK 299,990, Dacia Sandero at CZK 239,000, the Ford Fiesta can be purchased from CZK 324,900 and the Toyota Yaris from CZK 350,000.

The fourth generation of the Fabia will only be offered in the hatchback variant. The Fabia Combi will no longer be produced in the fourth generation, due to strict emission limits, which make it necessary to produce more electric cars. The long version of the Fabia will give way to them.

Last year, Škoda Auto delivered over one million cars worldwide. It operates three production plants in the Czech Republic, produces in China, Russia, Slovakia and India, mostly through group partnerships, as well as in Ukraine and Kazakhstan in cooperation with local partners. It is active in more than 100 markets.
