Tesla’s Model Y is rolling out in the Czech Republic. The first customers in the Czech Republic will take delivery of their cars in the coming days. It could be the most successful model of the Tesla brand on the Czech market, representatives of the Czech representation of the Tesla brand told reporters today. Czech prices start at 1,724,490 crowns.
The range of the Model Y is 507 kilometers on a single charge, with a maximum speed of 217 kilometers per hour. The car can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in five seconds. This year, the company expects to supply the Model Y in the Long Range variant, it will also be possible to order the Performance version, but these cars will not reach customers until next year. All cars are manufactured in Shanghai, China, and after the factory opens in Berlin, cars for the Czech market will be manufactured in Germany.
Representatives of the Czech representation of the brand stated that the Model Y will be one of the best-selling cars of the brand, at least in Europe. Compared to other Tesla models, the Model Y has a larger trunk and more comfortable boarding and is one of the SUVs. According to the brand’s representatives, the Czech seller registers a large number of orders in comparison with previous models but did not publish specific numbers.
Competing electric SUVs, including the domestic Škoda Enyaq, cost around one to 1.2 million crowns. Tesla offers the longest range on a single charge, with Enyaqu it is over 400 km similar to the Kia EV6, while the Audi Q4 e-tron or Volkswagen ID.4 states around 350 km. Model Y also has the highest power, 225 kW, Audi, Kia, and Hyundai Ioniq 5 have 100 kW less, Enyaq then competes with the unit with 132 kW.
The customer can have his Model Y from Tesla within one month of ordering. If he chose a very individual specification, the car would get to him at the beginning of next year. However, Tesla does not offer a large number of variants, so the vast majority of customers will be satisfied by warehouse cars. All Model Y cars are supplied with all-wheel drive.
The American carmaker Tesla, which produces exclusively electric cars, sold 136 cars in the Czech Republic by the end of July this year, which is 48 percent less than last year. Last year it was 396 cars.
