Dutch Video Game Developer Opens Studio In Pilsen

Dutch video game developer Soedesco has opened a second studio, expanding its development team beyond its inaugural premises in Rotterdam to Pilsen, Czech Republic. A press release from the company says the additional office “is striving to develop interesting new content fit for the next generation of gaming, such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Project Scarlett and Google Stadia”.

Soedesco’s first studio was established in 2015 as the publisher expanded “to create its own content”. With projects such as the Switch port of Defunct and Among the Sleep under its belt, the developer says it will continue “to focus on creating its own games”.

Maximum Games announced an exclusive distribution partnership with Soedesco to become the company’s UK and Irish distributor back in January 2019. Titles under the agreement include the 8-Bit franchise – 8-Bit Armies, 8-Bit Hordes and 8-Bit Invaders – film noir horror game Dollhouse, futuristic racer Xenon Racer, survival horror Monstrum, and console truck simulator, Truck Driver.
