Petr Kellner Posthumously Honored By Defense Ministry

The late owner of PPF, Petr Kellner, received an award from the Ministry of Defense for his contribution to the fight against covid-19. It was awarded to him by the Minister of Defense Lubomír Metnar. Metnar said this today at the end of the vaccination at the O2 Universum in Prague, which was lent to the PPF Group for vaccination.

Metnar told reporters that he thanked representatives of Bestsport, which owns and operates the hall. The company is a member of the PPF group, which was founded in March by the late Kellner. The minister noted that he honored Kellner “for his contribution to the fight against covid”.

“This is where an amazing place has been created where the technological capabilities and commitment of medics and soldiers have been fulfilled,” Metnar told the vaccination center at the O2 universum. According to him, over 700 soldiers took turns in four months, helping the operation of the facility. He reminded that 200 members of the active reserve also got involved in the operation.

At the O2 Universum, the largest Czech vaccination center, today the health professionals gave the last vaccines, a total of 680,000 of them since May.
